Training Kits
The following kits, funded through a DEP Environmental Education grant, are available for loan from the Conservation District:
Wildlife Kit #1 contains: 3 skulls with ruler and key, repliscat sampler, replitrack sampler, track identification poster, animal track cards, animal track book, deer aging tool, Wildlife of PA activity book, Habitat Earth video and teacher’s guide.
Wildlife Kit #2 contains: 13 animal pelts and identification key.
Soils Kit contains: 2 Montgomery County Soil Surveys, lesson plans, and transparencies.
Aquatics Kit contains: flash cards, a binder of info sheets and worksheets, a macroinvertebrate identification board, and two books: PA Fishes and PA Amphibians and Reptiles.
Forestry Kit contains: Sustaining Penn’s Woods Kit, 9 Visual Guides to Pennsylvania’s Noxious Weeds, How a Tree Grows kit, 2 Leaf Identification kits, Common Trees of Pennsylvania pamphlets, tape measure, log scale stick with instructions, lesson plans, invasive pest pamphlets (Asian Longhorned Beetle, Emerald Ash Borer, Spotted Lanternfly).
