Volunteers Needed for KOP Stream Cleanup May 2!

Join the Upper Merion Township Environmental Advisory Council and the partners of the Schuylkill Action Network to clean up King of Prussia streams on Saturday, May 2, from 10am to 12pm, with a pizza party to follow.  Everyone ages 12 and up can volunteer.  All supplies for volunteers will be provided by Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc., and through the Great American Cleanup of PA, sponsored by Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful.  Dumpster services have been enthusiastically donated by Advanced Disposal in support of this effort.

The KOP Cleanup is a part of the Schuylkill Scrub, a cleanup initiative running from March 1 to May 31 throughout the entire Schuylkill watershed.  Last year, Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful logged over 52,000 volunteers in the five counties surrounding the Schuylkill River.  Together, they removed more than 1,300 tons of trash that would have otherwise washed into the Schuylkill River, later flowing into the Delaware River and Atlantic Ocean.

Sign up to volunteer for the KOP Cleanup!
