Consulting turned to communicating when her service became The Write Beat. As a freelance writer she focuses on using plain English to convey complicated material to the layperson, preferring to write about her lifelong interest in nature, the environment, and simple living. Her favorite hobbies are camping, hiking, outdoor music festivals, and learning new tunes to play on her Boston Studio piano.

Carl has experience with land development design as well as construction management. For the past eight years he has been working as a consultant on projects for the Pennsylvania Turnpike where he was responsible for permit compliance of erosion and sedimentation in addition to managing the overall projects’ documentation. In his free time, Carl enjoys spending time outdoors, skiing, camping, kayaking and rock climbing.
